Danville-Pittsylvania Regional Industrial Facility Authority approved a local performance agreement with Stack Infrastructure for a proposed data center campus at the Southern Virginia Megasite at Berry Hill. Agreement metrics require at least $73.5 billion investment and 2,050 jobs; Stack described a plan that could reach about $100 billion over three decades and 2,500 jobs over two decades. Stack said it could abandon the deal if Virginia's data center sales-and-use-tax exemption is eliminated.
