PointOne announced on July 9, 2026 that Fauquier County's Board of Supervisors approved a rezoning amendment for the on-site natural-gas fuel-cell equipment yard planned for Remington Technology Park. PointOne says the approval is a milestone for the campus and commences construction; the project was originally approved in 2018. A June 16 PointOne announcement says the fuel cells are intended as behind-the-meter power generation for the proposed Fauquier County campus, replacing the earlier power-generation approach with lower-noise fuel-cell technology. Public source did not disclose a current MW or capex figure in the cited releases.
