Proposed 18-building campus on 673-700 acres. Would be one of the largest data centers in the United States and one of the largest single consumers of electricity in Alabama.

QTS confirmed it is the company behind Project Marvel and lists Bessemer as a data center campus in development. DCD reported the plan as a $14.5 billion, 18-building project, expanded from about 700 acres toward 1,600 acres, with up to 1.2 GW of capacity; QTS said it is pursuing the proposed Bessemer campus as planning progresses.
