On July 3, 2026, DCD reported that QTS terminated the Prince William Digital Gateway project, withdrew associated filings, and dropped its Virginia Supreme Court appeal after Compass and Prince William County had already backed away. Virginia Business reported on July 6, 2026 that QTS affiliate GW Acquisition Co. withdrew petitions challenging the March 31 Court of Appeals ruling that invalidated the rezonings, making the 23 million-square-foot, 2,100-acre proposal officially dead.
