Guild Ventures, owner of the former Kenwood Commons / Doane Stuart property, filed an NYISO application to use 180 MW for a mixed-use proposal that now includes a data center. The developer characterized 180 MW as a theoretical ceiling for the entire development and described the tech-center component as a boutique edge-scale colocation center serving local institutions and employers. Rockefeller Institute reported in June 2026 that no city permit applications had been submitted as of the first week of June and that data-center use would face local approval and zoning issues. NYISO's current queue lists EKG Group LLC / Kenwood Tech Center as a 180 MW load interconnection in Albany County with proposed initial backfeed in December 2028.
