The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers published a May 13, 2026 public notice for Google's Project Loch permit application. The proposed Chesterfield County site west of Route 288, south of U.S. Route 60, east of Tomahawk Creek and northeast of Old Hundred Road would include three data center buildings, three substations, roads, parking lots, utilities, and stormwater facilities. The notice says the project would impact 4.33 acres of palustrine forested wetlands, 0.44 acre of palustrine emergent wetlands, and 2,828 linear feet of stream channel; comments were due June 11, 2026.
