WGME reported the proposed Scarborough Technology Park would be a 140,000-square-foot data center; Scarborough officials rejected the proposal as incomplete in April. On June 3, 2026, the Town Council passed a 180-day data center moratorium that applies retroactively to proposals submitted on or after April 1.
