Sansone Group had explored a hyperscale data center on Toyota-owned land along Platt Road in York Township; Planet Detroit's December 2025 coverage described township discussion of a possible 1 GW data center. WEMU reported on April 30, 2026 that Sansone withdrew its purchase agreement after working to acquire more than 400 acres from Toyota, and township officials said the effort to convert the land from research-park use to heavy industry for a data center had fallen through.
