Converse County reversed a fast-track industrial-park resolution in May 2026 after Wyoming Attorney General review, and Cowboy State Daily reported the county had not received a Prometheus application. In June 2026, Natrona County commissioners raised concerns and showed little interest in using a county zoning tool for the project, with one commissioner saying the state industrial-siting process was preferable and another saying the county needed more definitive information. These updates do not cancel the campus, but they make the entitlement path materially less settled than a simple county industrial-park designation.
