Technical.ly reported on June 11, 2026 that Project Washington is currently halted, with projected peak demand of 1,200 MW, after DNREC denied the Coastal Zone permit request. The same article says Delmarva's utility-side list includes an unnamed 1,200 MW New Castle County project that is highly likely to be Project Washington and was under review, but not submitted to PJM's large-load adjustment process because of the PSC moratorium. DNREC's Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board page separately lists a Decision and Final Order dated April 17, 2026 for Starwood Digital Ventures' appeal.
