Jones and DeMille Engineering, on behalf of Energence Utah LLC, submitted a complete land-use application on March 11, 2026 for Nine Mile Data LLC to develop and operate a data center commercial use off Wells Draw Road in Duchesne County. The conditional-use permit covers four parcels totaling 960.32 acres and would be developed alongside separately reviewed solar and natural-gas power plant applications. Basin Now reported in April 2026 that appeals of the Planning Commission approval were scheduled before the County Commission.
