Second datacenter of similar scale to the first facility
Microsoft's June 23, 2026 company release says construction of the second Mount Pleasant facility immediately adjacent to the first was ongoing, including foundation installation, steel erection, and underground utility placement. Microsoft said the second facility was scheduled for completion in 2028 and that, when fully operational, full-time employment in the village is expected to grow to around 800, with the expansion to the north representing hundreds more.
