10/12 Industry Report reported on June 17, 2026 that West Feliciana Parish's council and Industrial Development Board approved a cooperative endeavor agreement for a $10 million advance on Hut 8's future PILOT payments, expected July 1, with $5.3 million for the school board, $3.9 million for parish government, and $800,000 for the sheriff's office. The parish expects to reimburse Hut 8 without interest from the first regular PILOT payment due July 1, 2027; Parish President Kenny Havard estimated the first regular payment at roughly $60 million and a potential annual payment near $90 million once Phase 1 is fully built out by the end of 2027. The same report said construction was accelerating, with about 300 workers on site and expected to rise to about 1,200 at full construction scale, and restated 245 MW of critical IT capacity supported by 330 MW from Entergy. WBRZ reported on July 14, 2026 that Hut 8 hosted the first of several job fairs as construction gets underway, with Hut 8 targeting full operation by Q3 2027.
