Current canonical record

This record tracks Hawaiian Telcom Kawaihae Data Center in Hawaii.

Hawaiian Telcom identifies Kawaihae on Hawaii Island as a separate colocation data center from the Endeavor facility on Oahu, with redundant fiber paths between them. The Kawaihae facility offers physical colocation, network connectivity, engineering support, UPS and backup diesel generator power, cooling and air-handling, and 24x7x365 monitoring. Hawaii Public Radio reported on 2026-07-08 that Hawaiian Telcom has a data center in Kawaihae and that Hawaii County Bill 170 would not retroactively affect it. No source found disclosed investment, MW capacity, original announcement date, or a recent expansion.
