Located on southwest side of Cedar Rapids in Big Cedar Industrial Center. Part of Google's $7B investment in Iowa including expansion of Council Bluffs facility. Construction started Q2 2024 for 2026 go-live.; Power estimated at $7M/MW. June 23, 2026 update: Cedar Rapids approved an indemnification agreement tied to a temporary occupancy permit for the first Google data center building in southwest Cedar Rapids. The agreement was discussed because of possible airport operational impacts, including water vapor plumes from evaporative cooling. Treat as a partial-occupancy / first-building update while the larger campus remains under construction, not as evidence that the full campus is operational.
