Current canonical record

This record tracks Fortitude Mining Grand Island Data Center in Nebraska.

Grand Island city records for the February 24, 2026 City Council meeting identify a Fortitude Mining data center at 380 Museum Drive and say Fortitude Mining Prop Co NE 3 LLC had leased part of Grand Island Utilities Department property for a new data center. Local reporting on March 5, 2026 said Fortitude Mining would construct the data center north of the JBS facility, cover construction costs, lease city land for $18,000 per year with a 3% annual escalator, and use interruptible electric service. Central Nebraska Today reported on June 26, 2026 that the facility was nearing completion, should open in July or August 2026, and would have a 12 MW load with no water use, no wastewater discharge, and 100% interruptible service.
