Current canonical record

This record tracks CyrusOne Dugway Proving Ground in Utah.

The U.S. Army announced on March 26, 2026 that CyrusOne, a portfolio company jointly held by funds managed by KKR and BlackRock, was conditionally selected to enter exclusive negotiations for a commercial hyperscale data center on about 1,201 acres at Dugway Proving Ground. The Army described the selection as a major milestone but not a final deal, with initial operating capability at Dugway projected for fiscal year 2029. Cleanview's June 2026 project page reports 1,000 MW capacity and 2029 expected operation; the Army source is used for the dated primary approval/selection claim.
