Current canonical record

Two Madison County campus sites totaling 1,713 acres: Canton (927 acres) and Ridgeland (786 acres). The original $10 billion commitment plus an additional $11 billion brings tracked Madison County investment to $21 billion.

Largest capital investment in Mississippi history. Project will create at least 1,000 high-paying, high-tech jobs with salaries averaging $70,000 annually. Expected to add $3.3 billion to Mississippi's GDP and support over 2,700 full-time equivalent jobs on an annual average basis. May require between 6,000-7,000 construction workers. June 2026 update: Amazon said one of its four announced Mississippi facilities, the Canton site, is already operating, with five buildings operational and plans to at least double that presence; the Ridgeland site is in the early stages of construction. Amazon plans regional cooling water use only during the hottest approximately 9% of the year, with Canton transitioning in 2027 to recycled wastewater from Madison County Wastewater Authority and estimated to use about 83 million gallons of recycled wastewater per year; Ridgeland is expected to use about 93 million gallons per year from the city, and Amazon said it is investing $37 million to increase the city's water-system capacity by 10%. Keep status as expansion because the tracked row covers a multi-site campus with one operational site and continuing buildout.
